Pancreas

The pancreas is an important organ in the digestive and endocrine systems. It produces pancreatic juices, which contain digestive enzymes that break down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats in the small intestine. The pancreas also produces hormones, including insulin and glucagon, which regulate the body’s metabolism of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. Dysfunction of the pancreas can lead to serious health issues, such as diabetes and pancreatic cancer.
