Sulfuric Acid
Sulfuric acid is a highly reactive, colorless, and odorless liquid with a molecular formula of H2SO4. It is widely used in the production of fertilizers, dyes, detergents, and other chemicals, as well as in industrial processes such as metal refining and battery manufacture. Sulfuric acid is a strong acid, meaning that it readily donates protons (H+) to other molecules. This makes it highly corrosive and capable of dissolving many different materials, including metals, plastics, and organic compounds. Because of its reactivity and potential hazards, proper safety precautions should always be followed when working with sulfuric acid.
