Ecosystems and Biomes
Ecosystems are complex webs of life where living organisms, such as plants and animals, interact with each other and their environment. These interactions can be between plants and animals, animals and animals, or even between plants and the non-living elements like water, air, and soil.
Biomes, on the other hand, are large regions on Earth that have similar climate, vegetation, and animal characteristics. They are defined by factors like temperature, rainfall, and altitude. Examples of biomes include deserts, grasslands, tundras, tropical rainforests, and marine biomes. Each biome supports a unique array of plant and animal species that have adapted to survive in its specific conditions.
