Explain Science

Helium is a chemical element that is in the noble gas group of the periodic table. It is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic gas that is the second lightest element in the universe. It has the lowest boiling point of any element and is used in many industrial and scientific applications, including as a refrigerant in cooling systems and MRI machines, a gas for welding and leak detection, and a gas to lift balloons and airships due to its low density. Although it is the second most abundant element in the observable universe, it is relatively rare on Earth and is primarily obtained through the extraction and processing of natural gas deposits. Its unique physical and chemical properties make it valuable for a variety of purposes.
