Explain Science

Moscovium is a synthetic element with the atomic number 115. It was first created in 2003 by Russian and American scientists in a joint experiment. Moscovium is highly unstable and has a very short half-life, meaning it quickly decays into other elements. As a result, it has no practical applications outside of scientific research. Moscovium is part of a group of elements known as the superheavy elements, which have an atomic number greater than 104. Scientists are interested in superheavy elements because they provide insights into nuclear physics and the limits of the periodic table.
