Electricity and Magnetism
Electricity and magnetism are two manifestations of the same fundamental force, known as electromagnetism. Electromagnetism is the force that binds atoms and molecules together, allows for the transmission of information through electrical signals, and is responsible for the behavior of light. The science of electromagnetism was developed in the 19th century by scientists like Michael Faraday and James Clerk Maxwell, who discovered that electricity, magnetism, and light were all different aspects of the same phenomenon. Today, our understanding of electromagnetism is essential to the development of new technologies, from smartphones to electric cars.
