Depression

Depression is a mental health condition that affects a person’s mood and feelings. Just like our body can get sick, our mind can also get sick. When someone has depression, it is more than just feeling sad for a day or two. It’s feeling sad, hopeless, and empty for a long time, often weeks or months. Depression can make it hard to do normal everyday activities and enjoy things they used to love. It can also affect their sleep and appetite. It’s important to remember that depression is not something that someone can simply “snap out of” or “get over.” It usually requires help from professionals, such as therapists or psychiatrists, and support from friends and family.
