Neurobiology and the Human Brain
Neurobiology is the study of the structure, function, and development of the nervous system. The human brain is a complex organ that consists of many different regions with specialized functions. For example, the frontal lobe controls decision-making and planning, while the occipital lobe processes visual information. The brain is composed of neurons, which are specialized cells that transmit information through electrical and chemical signals. The study of neurobiology is key to understanding brain function and developing treatments for disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson’s disease.
