Neuron
Neurons are the building blocks of the nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and nerves throughout the body. They are highly specialized cells that are responsible for transmitting and processing information. Neurons have a unique cell structure, including dendrites that receive signals, the cell body which processes signals, and an axon which sends signals. These signals can be electrical or chemical, and are used to communicate information throughout the body. Neurons play a critical role in many bodily functions, including movement, sensation, thought, and emotion.
