Macronutrients

Macronutrients are special types of food that give our bodies the energy we need to grow and stay healthy. There are three main macronutrients: carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Carbohydrates are like “fuel” for our bodies, proteins make us strong, and fats help protect our organs and keep us warm. We need to eat a good mix of all three macronutrients to keep our bodies working properly.
