Wavelength

Waves are everywhere, from sound waves to light waves, and they all have a wavelength. Wavelength is the distance between two corresponding points on a wave, such as the peak-to-peak or trough-to-trough distance. In general, waves with longer wavelengths have lower frequencies, which means they have fewer waves passing a point each second, while waves with shorter wavelengths have higher frequencies, which means they have more waves passing a point each second.
