Waves and Sound
Waves are a way that energy can travel. They’re like ripples in water or the way a slinky moves back and forth. Waves have different properties like wavelength, frequency, and amplitude that affect the way they look and behave. Sound is also a type of wave, but it needs something to travel through, like air or water. When something makes a sound, it creates vibrations that travel as sound waves. Our ears can detect these waves and turn them into the sound we hear.
