Asteroid Belt
The Asteroid Belt is a region in our Solar System located between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter where a large number of small rocky objects, known as asteroids, orbit around the Sun. These asteroids are mostly made up of rock and metal and are thought to be remnants from the formation of our Solar System around 4.6 billion years ago. Many of the larger asteroids in the belt have been studied by scientists, including missions from NASA and other space agencies, and some have the potential to pose a threat to Earth if they were to collide with our planet.
