Extinction
Extinction is the complete disappearance of a species. It’s a natural part of the evolutionary process, but it’s happening more and more quickly due to human actions. Habitat destruction is a big factor contributing to extinction. When we clear forests or pollute the oceans, we can make it so that plants and animals can’t survive in those places anymore. Climate change is also causing species to go extinct. As the climate changes, plants and animals may not be able to adapt fast enough to keep up with the changing conditions.
