Geography

Geography is an interdisciplinary field that involves the study of the physical features, atmosphere, and human activity on Earth. It encompasses a wide variety of topics, from climate change and natural hazards to cultural and political geography. Geographers use tools such as maps, GIS (geographic information systems), and remote sensing to study and analyze data about the Earth and its systems. The field is divided into several sub-disciplines, including physical geography, human geography, environmental geography, and more recently, geospatial science. Geography plays an important role in understanding the complex relationships between humans and their environments and developing solutions to global problems such as climate change, environmental degradation, and natural disasters.
