Balanced Diet

A balanced diet means eating different kinds of healthy foods to help your body grow strong and stay healthy. Just like you need a mix of different colors when you draw a picture, your body needs a mix of different foods to stay healthy. This includes eating fruits, vegetables, grains, protein (like meat or beans), and dairy products. When you eat a variety of foods, your body gets different nutrients that it needs, like vitamins and minerals, to keep you strong and energetic.
