Mass

Mass is a measurement of the amount of matter in an object. It’s different from weight, which is the force that gravity exerts on an object due to its mass. Mass is measured in units called kilograms (kg) or grams (g), and it’s always the same no matter where you are in the universe.

For example, if you took a toy car to the moon, it would weigh less because the moon has less gravity than Earth, but its mass would be the same because the amount of matter in the car hasn’t changed. Mass is important in physics because it affects how things move and interact with each other, according to Newton’s Laws of Motion.
