Digestive Health

Our digestive system helps our body break down the food we eat so that we can get energy from it. When we eat food, it goes through a special pathway in our body called the digestive system. The food travels through our mouth, down the esophagus, into the stomach, and then to the small intestine and large intestine. Our body takes out the nutrients from the food, like vitamins and minerals, while the waste parts of the food are turned into poop that we later get rid of. To keep our digestive system healthy, we should eat a balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of water, and exercise regularly.
