Food Groups
Food groups are categories that help us understand what kinds of foods we should be eating. It’s like sorting toys into different boxes based on their type. There are five main food groups: fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, and dairy. Each group gives our body different kinds of energy and nutrients to keep us healthy and strong. For example, fruits and vegetables give us vitamins and minerals that help our body grow, while grains give us energy to play and learn. It’s important to eat a little bit from each group every day to have a balanced diet and stay healthy!
