Planetary systems are the collections of planets, moons, comets, asteroids, and other space objects that revolve around a star. Our own planetary system, known as the solar system, has eight planets that revolve around the Sun, as well as dwarf planets like Pluto, comets, and asteroids. Some planetary systems have more than one star, and others have giant planets that orbit very close to their star.
